Programs and Camps
Kimberley Alpine Team offers entry level, alpine and freestyle ski programs for children of various ages.
You can read more about our programs here.
Any child from 6 and over must at a minimum be able to turn and stop on command, and be comfortable loading and sitting on a high speed quad chairlift.
Children 10 years old and over should be comfortable on all terrains of a ski hill and be confident on blue runs. Most children in these categories have had significant time on the ski hill.
Each athlete should have:
- skis, poles, boots and helmets
- good quality ski clothing to stay warm, dry and comfortable
Five year old children don't need poles.
It is also recommended to have hand warmers and a second pair of gloves that they can switch for at lunch time for those cold and wet days.
U12/U14/U16 and FIS athletes will require some additional equipment. This may include FIS approved helmets, shin guards, mouth guards. Please contact Program Director Dave Nighswander if you have any questions about required equipment.
