Entry Level Program U6/U8
Entry Level programs are designed to help each athlete develop a strong ski foundation and instill a love for skiing! Our coaches are all trained and certified and will ensure a perfect mix of fun, skill development, safety and skier etiquette. We teach kids how to safely navigate the ski hill and introduce them to the fundamentals of alpine and freestyle skiing. Coaches will facilitate lessons that help our athletes gain confidence and skills on groomers, bumps, jumps and race courses. All our athletes will take part in regular training, KAT Club Activity days and praticipate in team and individual club events. Fair play is promoted resulting in huge smiles and great memories. Athletes that complete our Entry Level programs will be fully prepared to enter into either Alpine or Freestyle programs.
NOTE: Athletes entering this program should be capable of riding lifts with assistance and confident skiing green runs unassisted.
Entry Level U6
Cost: Early Bird : $1111 After November 1 : $1261
Program Overview - U6
- 10 days on snow - first few days are half days (gradual entry with low instructor to athlete ratio). This number may be subject to change due to unsafe weather or snow conditions. Please refer to our weather policy.
- Ratio of 2:1, groups of four will have both a lead coach and an assistant coach.
- No tailgunners needed for U6 but volunteer days are still required.
- Includes mandatory BC Alpine fee for parents and volunteers
- Includes Fairmont Race Fee
- Training Saturdays starting January 2026. Calendar to be released in December. No training on Family Day weekend.
- Athletes will participate in club activity days and club events
- For athletes aged 5 on or before December 31, 2025
